Week 1 of 2012 is upon us!

Houston has to be pretty disappointed at the lack of respect for a defending champion. I can see leaving them lower in the top-10, but putting them below Kentucky, Indiana & Purdue? Wow.

I'm eager to see how the brand new coaches make a statement in week 1. UCF & Wake are kicking off now, Purdue has to wait until next week to show what they're made of against Maryland.

The two newbies are done.

Wake defeats UCF 36-20. Both teams had some miscues. Wake struggled to grasp the kicking meter online and it cost them a PAT and vital field possession early on. A fumble at the goal line while diving into the endzone cost Wakes QB an early TD in a tight game but a bend but don't break defense kept UCF in check during the 2nd and 3rd quarters while the offensive passing attack marched them down the field. If not for some horrible drops by UCF's Tight End they would have gotten back in the game but in the end Wake was able to finally get some yardage on the ground to run out the clock.

my team sucks, almost went to OT against Tennessee...they had the ball at the 12 yard line, but some how my defense held and stopped them..won 20-13...not looking forward to my game against Houston, if my team plays like they did, I will get slaughtered

They won't...I've never played that way in the first two seasons even against the CPU. I lost my MLB who I dominated with, my FS is gone, my sweet DE is gone. My defense is rated at a C-. They won't play the same :lol:

When possible, I try to keep the last 2-3 weeks of games open so we can zip through those, especially since no one likes having a bye in the early weeks (redbenn had to have one for OOC scheduling purposes)

My two safety recruits (tr FR Parham 6'5" 97 spd & rs SO Howell 6'3" 92 spd) have really helped shift this defense from a wide open highway to paydirt into a pot-hole filled road with a few hidden obstacles waiting to slice your tires.

Houston dominated MSU 56-24, and 7 of those came after a failed 4th down conversion on Houston's own 10 yd line :lol:

True frosh QB Jeff Williams was 18-27 341 yds 5 td 1 int.

This could possibly hurt recruiting and visits. Not that it would hurt me to begin with, but just saying.
