2nd Round: Sharks vs Red Wings

Told ya.....they never do shit when it's scramble time.

The Wings got really lucky against Phoenix. Why? They weren't winning the face offs even during that series. They got lucky because Phoenix didn't quite have the offensive strength to get it done.

San Jose is completely different. You can't be 33% in a playoff game and expect goods results and not at any time when you are a puck possession team like the Wings are. Just ask Pittsburgh in 2008 when the Wings won something like 90% of the faceoffs in games 1 and 2 of that series.

At least the effort was there tonight. I'll take that against the Sharks. That has, in the past, yielded good results against them in the playoffs.

Just keep grinding boys. They get some home cooking the next couple games and may it goes back to San Jose 2-2....

That one very short PP for Detroit was unique, I think it was only for 11 seconds, but they never got the puck out from behind their own goal line.

I thought the game was going to be decided by Holmstrom's ass for a while, but it ended up being Lidstrom's broken stick.
