#25 The Ohio State University @ #20 Iowa, Thursday, February 20 @ 7PM, ESPN

Iowa has extreme home/road splits. This result isn't much of a surprise to me.

This team plays completely without any type of fire or emotion. Something happened in the background that we aren't privy too yet but the character of this team completely changed around Christmas.

Add that to the musa injury, andre injury, Duane injury, Duane and luther suspension. Carton LOA, ETC....

Rutgers and PoSU are the “consistent” ones. Tells me what to think of this league’s prospects in March.

Anyway, tonight was both team regressing back. Had that feeling. Still no clue what to think of this team, but my eyes tell me they are below average overall.
They're below average. Guard play has been bad under Holtmann since he got here. CJ Jackson is probably the best he's had and that ain't good. Carton is the most talented kid we've had in a few years, so we have to really hope he gets better and chooses to return, but I'm not holding my breath on that one. If he doesn't come back, we have to hope Meechie is the truth or it looks really bleak.
The B1G usually exceeds expectations in the tourney. Just no one from this conference can ever seem to win it all. I expect that to be the case again this year
Usually, but there's been a team or two that turns it in in Feb or March and makes that run, those teams being scUM or Sparty in recent years. scUM isnt very good, and their best player can't stay healthy. And Beilein dwarfs Juwanna as a coach. Sparty just doesn't look very good this year. I'd say best chance is Maryland, but they haven't made it out of he regional semis since 2002 and tend to wilt in March. Ped Aggy ain't doing it.

Whatever happened I believe it didn’t help DJ at all...locker room politics? They went from a unit to a bunch of individual play overnight.

Face it, fellow Buckeyes/fans.
We have a middle of the road team. For whatever reason there is that's the ball game. I believe that with or without Carton that's where we are. So. What now?
I will just accept that as fact and keep on keeping on. I accept them for what they are, I will enjoy their achievements and wins. I will hope for a long NCAA tourny.
Go Bucks!

Would opine that the pre-game locker room speech was inspired. What came out on the court wasn't. When Kaleb hits an opening three, and Washington comes off the bench and splashes a 3 or two, and then drives the paint for a lay up, tOSU seems to get 'right'. D tightens, passing lanes are threatened, and offensive spacings are open. When the other team comes out a-roaring (ala Iowa last night), then there is no one on tOSU team that can take charge. Kaleb, for all his good qualities, is not that guy, and our guards don't exude control either. Andre could be that guy, but methinks he has been relegated into a support role. He doesn't really get popping until midway through a half. Kyle, once again, showed determination on the boards, grit, fight, etc. and ball sense throughout the game. Do believe that tOSU will be in the Dance, but how far will be determined by which team exits the locker room to start the game. Go Bucks!

Also, I think the B1G is a league of wildly mediocre teams. I wouldn't be surprised if every team is knocked out before the Regional Finals. No star players and inconsistent teams.

I agree with this, but so is pretty much all of college basketball this year. This might just be such a random year that a team like Dayton could actually win the title although 95% of the time a team that buys one and doners comes through in the end.
