#23 The Ohio State University @ Nebraska, Thursday, February 27 @ 9PM, ESPN2

The argument that a team has to be .500 in their league to make the tournament is stupid. With that stipulation, you automatically are biasing the selection process in favor of teams in weaker conferences and against teams from the strongest conference. Lunardi claiming a 3-10 tournament record from those teams is some type of treasure trove of data is even dumber than the argument itself. Also, you cant use mid-majors that made the tournament and point to their record in the Dance as an argument for mids that miss the tournament because the teams that do get selected are generally a cut above those that miss. There is not an endless supply of top notch mid-majors that are being snubbed year after year.

Mid-major advocates also ignore the fact that the small school teams that miss the big dance never win the NIT. George Washington is the only NIT champ that is even close to making a case for more mid-majors, but being in the A-10 it isn't like they were in a league that they had to win the conference tourney to make the NCAAs.

Well this was a nice stress free night win. Despite Kentucky being 13-2 in the SEC this year we have not had this kind of easy win all year in the SEC. We have had a couple pull away 14 point wins in the 2nd half but those didn't happen until the final 8 minutes or less.
Can someone please direct me to the tOSU-Nebraska thread? I've apparently accidentally wandered into the blue mist thread.

I’m a mid major advocate in the sense that I’d rather see a East Tennessee State/Liberty team this year that happens to get upset in their conference tourney in the tourney than a barely mediocre NC State type

I didn't realize Iowa lost to Nebraska. We had bad luck playing Iowa on the road we likely beat them at home but we also lucky to play Purdue and Rutgers at home.

The game I am afraid of now is Michigan at home. Since we beat them on the road I wish we didn't play them twice this year afraid we give that back now.

We need to win just 1 out of the last 3 to get to 10-10 (if we hold on tonight) but man it be amazing to go 2-1.

I assume we lost at Michigan State.

What games aren't you afraid of Mr. Sunshine/Optimist - you had reservations about Corn last night...LOL
