What I would like to see is the Bucks play a little 1-3-1 zone defense

Ohio State's off-court troubles don't seem to be affecting its performance on the court.
The 24th-ranked Buckeyes (7-0) look to extend their best start in more than a decade when they host Tennessee State (2-3) on Friday.
The Buckeyes have won their first seven games for the first time since the 1990-91 season, when they opened 17-0 and climbed as high as No. 2 in the rankings. They moved into the Top 25 this week for the first time since March 2002, when they finished the season ranked 14th.
"I remember that whole team. I could tell you the starting five, the first person off the bench. That was a real good team," guard J.J. Sullinger said of the 1990-91 team, which was led by Jim Jackson. "We really don't want to compare ourselves to them yet, but we are excited about being 7-0."
However, Ohio State's strong start has been somewhat overshadowed by former coach Jim O'Brien's ongoing lawsuit against the university. O'Brien, who led the Buckeyes to the Final Four in 1999, claims he was improperly dismissed in June 2004 for giving 7-foot-3 Serbian recruit Aleksandar Radojevic a $6,000 loan.
In a separate case, Ohio State is facing sanctions to the men's basketball program for extra benefits allegedly provided to Boban Savovic, another O'Brien recruit who was on the Final Four team. Ohio State is awaiting a February hearing before the NCAA.
O'Brien said Friday he will direct his attention to fighting the NCAA's charges against him and his former program.
Nonetheless, the Buckeyes stayed perfect with a 70-67 win over Iowa State on Saturday, capping a tough stretch of four games in eight days and three cities.
"I want these guys to enjoy this because they've been through a lot. Every day they just come in and go to work," coach Thad Matta said. "All coaches talk about toughness and adversity. The way it all played out helps drive home the point of what we're trying to do here."
Je'Kel Foster scored a career-high 28 points Saturday and is the reigning Big Ten player of the week. He leads the team with 17.6 points per game.
The Buckeyes went 10-of-22 from 3-point range against Iowa State and have hit at least 10 3-pointers in a team-record four straight games.
The Tigers lost for the third time in four games on Monday, falling 84-74 to Southern Mississippi. Bruce Price scored 27 points and Kareem Grant added 18 for Tennessee State.
"We have to be much tougher than we were the final seven minutes of the first half and the second half," said Tigers coach Cy Alexander. "We must do a lot better job on the boards." Ohio State has won both previous meetings between the schools.

feel better vrbryant.vrbryant said:For the record, I've been ill this week and haven't had a chance to do a write-up for the TSU game (the first home game I'll be watching from home :(). Wad did some good research earlier, though, so I'm sure you'll all manage. Anyway, I should be back on track for Gardner-Webb.
who would you put where? i could be wrong but i dont think this team is built for 1-3-1. we are quick but i think we are too small to be overly effective against a decent opponent. What I would like to see is the Bucks play a little 1-3-1 zone defense
