Texas tried their hardest to give us that game. A fumble on the first play, the biggest freak interception we will see all seasons and then THREE fumbles in the fourth quarter to seal the game we couldn't jump on.
Sark looked like he had fucking shell shock before half-time. He looked like a mentally broken man on that sideline and we let that fucker back into the game. You could see on his face that he was finished. HOW THE FUCK DO YOU LET THEM GET BACK INTO THE GAME?
We were up 20-3 at half-time, but it could have easily been 17-14 Texas.
The defense is young and will improve. I don't think we had a single player on defense that's ever played in an environment like Texas away at night in a top 5 matchup.
Texas has more game experience than we do overall was playing at home in 100° heat. And it still took players and coaches coming together to fuck it up completely.
Other than the playoffs in 2024 after the legendary post-Michigan "accountability meeting", where players and coaches laid into Day, have we seen where Day stopped playing with his food in the second half and went for the kill.
And I can't help but notice that other than when Chip Kelly ran the offense, the one guy on Earth Ryan Day wouldn't dare tell what to do, our offense has played the EXACT same way when having a lead. In EVERY big game.
It's almost as if Ryan Day would rather play with other teams and have dog fights than stomp on their heads and put them away for good.
