Their biggest problem is that they can no longer cheat. Take away the 3 years of cheating and this beyond shady program is a below .500 team. This is an indisputable fact. They are who we know they are.

i wouldn't say they woulda been sub .500 but they probably woulda floated around the pre 2021 Harbaugh average. Which is a 7-9 type win team who can maybe hit 10 wins every so often due to a good group of 5th/6th year guys, not a serious national threat. They are back to I guess that now except it's uglier, it's a weak schedule this year that's keeping them from totally sinking. This is a .500 level football team that's gonna sneak out 8 or 9 wins because teams like Wisconsin, Sparty and Purdue are just that incompetent

Step 1 to beating them: don't run your QB to get a cheap shot and concussion on your first series (not even sure if that's accurate, I've never rewatched any of the last 4 games ). We should beat them easily with our backups, but that was true last year, too.

My hope is that a wrinkle will be the use of heavy formations with TEs swaped for WRs or FB for RBs to get matchup advantages.

Won’t win the game but could help. Wouldn’t mind them going 4/5 wide as a change up, but the backup WRs haven’t gotten much play.

Anything that leans more creative and to the WR strength rather than man balling to their level.
