2025 scUM Shenanigans, Arguments, etc.

Absolutely, but that would have amounted to an admission that they were wrong and that bad things had gone down in the football program and the university leadership knew and covered it up. They just can't bring themselves to do that. That they let him weasel out of town on his own terms should be another nail in their coffin.
I get the impression that the Florida BOT hasn't approved this yet...

2 games? That's cute.

So just to be clear, this is now the SECOND time Moore has been suspended? How many times has Ryan Day been suspended?
And it’s the same exact punishment as the first time. You’d think, after being caught blatantly cheating for the second time in rapid succession, that the second punishment would scale up a little bit. And week 3-4 so they don’t mess up a game against Oklahoma. Absolute clowns.

Seems like it would be better for the team to just get it over with in week 1 and 2. Losing @ Oklahoma isn't as bad as dropping a conference game @ Nebraska in week 4, but there's a much higher chance they lose both than win both anyway.

Institutional arrogance at its finest. Honestly, you gotta think doing that will piss the NCAA off more than placating them.

NCAA suit - "Umm, okay, but why not weeks 1 & 2?"

tCun - "Because we play Oklahoma in week 2."

NCAA suit - "Yeah, okay, noted." *hangs up phone* "Dumb fucks."

tCun - "Hello? Sir? Are you still there? Hello? Sir?"

scUM is really protecting Sherrone for a game against a team that went 6-7 last year and finished 97th in scoring offense.
They probably have Underwood for one year and are desperately hoping this strings along enough to allow this season to be played outside of sanctions. They're going to try to find every edge available. Ain't gonna work, but their backs are against the wall and the firing squad is loading their guns.

Ha.
How funny would it be if Underwood plays 2 games and then sits out the rest of the year to maintain a year of eligibility? I mean, I guess it's unlikely, if he really is as good as they say he is - he wouldn't need it. He's just putting in his 3 years until he's eligible for the draft.

7 wins is their "ceiling" this year even before you factor in a possible incoming sanction hammer.

I wouldn't be shocked if Underwood quits on the team mid season to save himself from injury for his fresh start somewhere else in 2026.

Also.

“Hey NCAA, if we agree to suspend our coach for two games of our choosing every season, we’re covered to continue cheating our asses off indefinitely, because that’s how this works, right?”

Re: as good as they say he is...

He looked really shaky in their spring game. From e!spn:

Underwood was 12 of 26 for 187 yards with a scrimmage-ending, 88-yard pass to tight end Jalen Hoffman on a reverse flea-flicker in a 17-0 win for the Blue over the Maize.

He also recovered his fumble, had a pair of delay-of-game penalties, several errant throws - high and wide - and some dropped. Underwood lost 12 yards on two sacks and gained 17 yards on three runs.
So completed <half of his passes and basically had 99 yards passing on 25 attempts before a game ending gadget play busted open, had a couple of delay of game penalties, took 2 sacks, and had several errant throws in a low-pressure scrimmage. That doesn't scream somebody ready to make a big impact as a true frosh.
