2025 scUM Shenanigans, Arguments, etc.

I agree, and that's why I'm expecting to be disappointed. They've had, like, a year or 15 months or 100 months or 200 years - I've lost count. When Tatgate happened, 2010, Tressell benched the players, then the Sugar Bowl and the Big Ten fought to get the players reinstated. So the NCAA allowed it. But initially, the punishment was NOW. So we went the rest of the winter, and into spring before we found out that Jim Tressell was also involved. If we say that the clock starts at that time - say April, 2011, things were sorted out by November, weren't they? 7 months later?
It has now been double that much time for this case. I get that the clock may have reset when Central Michigan got their faces involved. But it's like, "You're over the legal limit for weight on this bridge." "Oh? Well then let me throw some more junk in the trunk." Do we need to start the whole process of weighing the truck?
Part of the delay as I understand it was that more information/evidence was uncovered with regard to the CMU piece AFTER the initial investigations was either wrapped or close to wrapping up, which kind of reset the clock several months in. To me, that indicates the NCAA is committed to getting all of its ducks in a row prior to dropping any kind of hammer. That gives me some optimism that justice will be (at least somewhat) served. Of course, them skating would not surprise me. But how methodically they are going about this indicates more. I don't know. Nobody knows. Only time will tell. Assorted other platitudes.

I agree, they’re getting things in perfect order before blasting the program.

Central Xichigan is about to be royally hammered.

I think one big difference is that OSU self reported all the infractions and self imposed most of the sanctions that the NCAA eventually levied.
TCUN has denied everything, stalled as much as possible, refused to negotiate and thumbed their nose at the NCAA. Even with that, this is moving at a quick pace for the NCAA. Apparently, the next step for scUM is a full hearing with the COI, something OSU never had to do if memory serves me.

I don't think hearings are very common. It seems like most of these reach some kind of settlement before it gets to that point. But tCun, institutional arrogance and all, have been pains in the ass the entire way.

Their problem is they did this for multiple years and told the NCAA to go fuck themselves when they got caught.

If this happened at OSU I’m not so sure we don’t stop the season at the time it’s brought up what we did wrong.

Not these fuckers, they literally BET on it.
That is the most aggravating aspect to these motherless fucks. They act like 80s SMU or 00s USC in how they respond yet truly believe they're pure as fucking driven snow. It's a clinical cult level of disconnect. Now wonder that smarmy little jock-sniffer is thriving there.

We catch ourselves fucking around, and we immediately turn ourselves in, cooperate, whack coaches and negotiate our penalties. Yet, somehow, we're the rogue school.

Fuck, I hate them with the power of a thousand supernova suns.
