2025 Cotton Bowl: #2 tOSU vs #10 Miami-FL, Wed 12/31 7:30 ET at JerryWorld

Still think that INT is on Sayin.
Smith is placing himself in position to block for the yac, not for the guy to head straight up field for an INT. The defender wasn’t even heading towards Inniss.
Obvious, this was something that Miami saw on film.

I put it on Day for calling that play in that situation. Why are you going sideways in a compressed area of the field? You just had a game altering play, keep on the attack vertically. It’s on the coaches to put the players in a position to succeed.

Sayin getting sacked right away on a play where 2 guys just ran past the blockers essentially unimpeded was the worst thing that coulda happened, after seeing that I'm sure that was in his head and significant effected everything.

It's not a Physicality issue with the OL like the DFBIA would be screaming....it's a skill and athleticism issue, they are plenty physical but any kind of athleticism just killed them with stunts and speed rushes.....Cryami and Indiana made it look like our guys were playing in quicksand
So get the play in quicker and snap the ball quicker so that the DL can't run stunts.

The Buckeyes ran exactly ONE drive with any amount of tempo. Bain and the other DL guy were on the sideline sucking air. The Canes called Timeout. The Buckeyes scored.

I mean what were you expecting to happen with a different QB considering the OL getting annihilated every other snap?
I expected to see a second qb get meaningful pt and either get better or hit the portal. Note: I didn’t suggest putting him in a game still undecided.
I'm still processing to be honest.

I do know this is the least amount of upset I have been after a loss in forever. Possibly ever.

Is that because of The Game or because of the recent NC? Little of both probably.
I'm disappointed for some fine players I would have loved to see go out with a final victory. That said, beating Michigan is paramount. Winning a natty is a bonus.

Anybody know where this shit comes from? It's all over Face Book:

BREAKING NEWS: The Cotton Bowl Classic quarterfinal results for the 2025 national championship have been cancelled; all referees and the head coach of the Miami Hurricanes have been detained for investigation following the most shocking scandal in college football history and the biggest in NCAA history.
Details in the comments below

Yeah, probably A I but it comes on a platform that makes you think it's either a buckeye site or an NCAA affiliated site.

It comes from engagement farming. I can't stress enough how bad Facebook is for news

I see fake post on FB like that all the time. I remember seeing one similar last year that claimed to involve the Buckeyes but the photo in the post was two NFL teams. If you look at who posts this crap, 9 times out of 10 the poster is foreign.

Since I'm a glutton for punishment, I went back to watch the first four drives to see how consistent the silent count timing was, as it relates to Miami being capable of timing the snap.

Amateur timer here with a cell phone app. I stopwatched it from when Luke gave the ready signal to when Carson snapped it.

First 4 drives

Delay in seconds between luke tap and snap

0.37
0.16
0.25
----- punt
0.93
0.31
0.37
0.64
----- punt
0.42
0.37
0.34 pick six
----
0.81
0.89
0.80
0.47 big sack
0.88

On the pick six, bain was a yard off the ball and moving forward before the snap began. He hesitated a moment, otherwise he probably could have hit the ball before it fully left Julian's hand.
Just a truly bizarre decision by Day to go to a silent count. B/c there's an "echo" in the building? Wtf

Anything on Facebook you can't follow a link to the source material on a secured site is likely bullshit.

In this case, it's TOTAL bullshit. Anything of this nature would be on every news service on the planet. Also, as @gmen6981 said, there's a very good chance the page that posted this nonsense is from either India, Pakistan, Myanmar or Sri Lanka. They've put out training in our work environment about social media posts and the leading countries in posting garbage like that.
