Sparty doesn't play their best game but of course Royal ends up being out and Bynum is playing sick and basically worthless which naturally leads to a late game collapse

Buckeyes opponents that beat them look competent on offense. They manage to win despite being cold from long range because whoever they have on the floor know how to get open close to the rim. And their guys are always looking for the assist.

They lost this game the second Royal was going to sit out. It's a miracle it was even this close

The positive here is that this game was never being counted on as a W. If Royal and Bynum can hopefully both get better before the Iowa game we got a great chance there.

Eh I'm not sure how much Noel is really holding things back', it's nice to have another body but he was pretty meh when we was healthy. He had that 29 point game against NW but he scored under 10 points in 11/14 games he played in and 4 of those games he had 0 points.

Thanks to Bruce. The Buckeyes' one-man show offense hasn't worked to beat a good team yet. I'll paint the picture that you just watched. MSU goes down the court with the ball, they move around on their end, pass it, keep moving, assist, easy open 6-foot jumper or layup. Buckeyes end - some movement, but just pass it around on the perimeter, 2 seconds left on the shot clock, contested three by a guy who has trouble making uncontested 3's, rebound MSU.

Can Thornton shave his head, change his name and his number? I really wish he was coming back next season. If these core players stay together, a good point guard would probably get them over the hump next season. Very critical that Diebler gets the best available in the portal.

I think with even 1 of Mobley or Royal we win this game. Which is what makes it so frustrating just shit luck that Royal and Bynum both got sick. Eventually this program has to have some positive luck come their way, right?
