2025-2026 Ohio State Men's Basketball

Dispatch beat writer Adam Jardy was pretty positive about OSU's prospects of an upper-tier B1G standing this season.

It sounds like there could be more contributors this season. Last year, one of the problems was you had 4 guys who could score, and then there was a big gap. Now you've got Bruce, Juni, Devin and a handful of guys who likely will score more than the 6 ppg that Bradshaw got last season (Noel, Tilly, Bynum, Ojianwuna).

OSU 103, OU 74.

7 Buckeyes in double-digits, led by Noel's 18 points (in 19 minutes). Tilly 14 (7! assists), Royal & Bynum 13, Mobley 12, Bruce 11 & Ivan 10 (4 assists & 6 boards also). I liked how Noel attacked the basket.

I know it's a mid tier MAC team but Tilly and Noel are looking like huge upgrades, guys can both score AND distribute from down low. Ivan looks like he's been putting in good work too. He might actually become a decent backup option

Starters today were Bruce, Mobley, Royal, Noel & Tilly. It looks like the top-3 off the bench are going to be Cupps in the backcourt and Bynum & Ivan in the frontcourt. I'm going to say for the beginning of the season we'll see that 8-man rotation with 9th-man Chatman sprinkled in situationally (foul trouble, etc.). I do believe Ojianwuna will be a rotation player for OSU once healthy, so he would probably push Ivan out of the usual playing group.

Noel in particular was impressive. I think he could be a leader on this team. Tilly has a good skillset, but I'm not sure that he has the strength/toughness to be a consistent producer in the B1G - he could be a boom-or-bust type, hope I'm wrong. Ivan has some strength and grit to him, he looks pretty well-built, and I feel like he will be a good player to put out there depending on the matchup.

Tilly really just needs to be average and that's still a big upgrade over what we had in that spot last year.
