2025-2026 College Basketball General Discussion

Cincinnati with a nice choke job in the last few minutes of the game, them and UCF heading to OT now. ESPN had them at a 90% chance to win with 2 minutes left
One of the lowest IQ games I've ever seen. UC's guards made dumb decision after dumb decision, to blow a game against a team that couldn't make a shot from the field or the free throw line. UC's bubble is burst.

UC was up by 8 points until UCF hit a layup with 2:06 left. Gave up an 8-0 run in the last 2+ minutes, that's a massive choke job, especially with UC needing to win this game to move onto the bubble.

Most shocking was Miller panic shooting a wild bank shot floater in a tie game with 53 seconds left, just 9 seconds after UCF tied the game. Absolutely no poise or basketball IQ on display there.

Indiana's tourney hopes go down in flames with a 1st round B1G tourney loss to Northwestern
While OSU was basically a lock already, I still am rooting for bubble teams lose considering that's the only way OSU doesn't make it is mass conference tourney chaos. I'm loving it today, lots of bubble teams getting beaten. IU had an awful finish to the season, finishing 18-14 while losing 6 of their last 7 (including getting double-tapped by Northwestern).

As far as Indiana goes, they might be having buyers remorse over Coach DeVries. He brought his son with him this year to lead the team - an advantage they lose next season - they paid amongst the top teams in the conference on NIL, and still didn't make the tournament. Pretty disappointing first season for him there.

Texas loses to Ole Miss which is a bad loss, this puts them on the ropes

Cal gets blown out by a bad Florida State team which should eliminate them.

SMU losing doesn't hurt either. The ACC teams around the bubble really crapped the bed

Just sayin': Indiana might have had buyers remorse over every other coach they hired since Bob Knight too.
