*2024 tCun Shenanigans, Arguments, Cobras, Feckless Marmots, Fake Pandas, Dirty Cheaters

Orji is fast but he’s not good at the “read” part of those read runs at all which takes him down a big notch in the running department. It feels like they are going to get a snap split split of Orji and someone else who’s a “better” thrower at QB to start the season. They’ve got a giant hard on for Orji for some reason so he is going to get time. Even then their passing QBs are mostly going to be relegated to check downs none of them are guys who are going to be making anywhere near consistent big time down field throws.

They don’t have the horses at DB there’s zero depth this year so I imagine there’s going to be a heavy dose of that loose zone all season.
They have a hard-on for him because he looks good in a uniform. This is the same fanbase that obsessed over Denard's hair for 3 years and regularly posted pics of Devin Gardner in midriff-baring shirts for several years. NTTAWWT.

Their QBs looked mediocre-bad in their spring game. Offense in general as well. Orji they still were hesitant to let throw much and when they did he made some bad ones, including a comical over throw of a wide open WR on 3rd down. Warren the former walk on looked a bit better being captain check down but there’s not a QB on that roster who’s going to fire away and win them games where the running game isn’t working so great

FWIW, additional Orji videos on this site:

As expected, Alex Orji got the first-team reps at quarterback for Michigan. The backup for the Wolverines separated himself from the others throughout spring practice and appears to be in line for the starting job in 2024. Orji appeared in six games last season, but did not attempt a pass and was used exclusively as a runner. He attempted just one pass in two previous years at Michigan.

Reggie Bush getting the Heisman back should mean OSU get's all their stuff back (back pay Tress too) lol.
Agree 100%.

So if we had to vacate wins from 2010 because Tressel mislead the NCAA, why doesn't scUM have to vacate wins because Hairball basically refused to cooperate?
Do you know how embarrassing it is for the NCAA. Big Ten, CFP, etc. to find out about all of this while it is happening, refuse to do anything about it, watch M*ch*gan win everything, and then go back and say that it doesn't count? In this world of "nothing is my fault, ever", we caught them red-handed, and instead of doing something about it, we said, "let's let the system play out." And now we're all sitting here with a choice: punish M*ch*gan and admit that we should have done something about it then (which is the same as saying that something is our fault), or try to sweep everything under the rug and let it all blow over.

With Ohio State, it didn't get caught until later. The NCAA was able to say, "Whoa!!! You were cheating with those magic tattoos. We need to go back and vacate some wins from 2 years ago." There was no "we messed up." It was all "YOU messed up."

Sure, M*ch*gan will get something, but it'll be closer to what Ohio State got for a punishment than we'd like. Maybe even a smaller punishment, despite that they tampered with the results of games, and Ohio State allowed some players to sell their personal possessions.

While I don't disagree that our culture fosters allergies to accountability (who could disagree with that?), and I think your post is well thought out; I have a slightly different perspective.

It seems to me that the NCAA can still say "Whoa!!! You were cheating..." and still avoid saying "we messed up". In this case their "out" is that they can claim that they did not have the authority to act in a way different than they did. Is that a giant cop out? Absolutely. When did that ever stop the NCAA in the past.

To me, the pill that will be hard to swallow is the one where they don't touch 2023 and they let stand (at least) all of the wins after Stallions left. Everyone with a pulse knows that the momentum that they built while they were cheating is what they built on to create 2023 in the first place. Even if the cheating really did stop dead when Stallions left, no sane person believes that all of the rest of those wins happen without the momentum built on 2 and 1/2 seasons of cheating. Especially when that momentum resulted in all of the 5th and 6th year players staying (for multiple reasons, all of which were true because of cheating). Seeing a thief get to keep his ill gotten gains will be tough, but no tougher than any of the other injustices in the world.

This board... shoot the whole section of the internet that cares about any of this... seem(s) to be split on whether the NCAA is super-pissed and are going to swing the hammer or they're going to be timid and weak for 1 reason or another.

The former group points to the announcement of punishment for Covid-era violations happening on the first day of the spring transfer portal window as evidence that the ncaa has a hard on for the wolverweenies. Perhaps they're on to something. If that is true, then the timing of the coming NOA for in-person scouting should be similarly timed. So when might be a good time to drop that on them?

If they stick to the tried and true 90-days-to-respond rule, then the last weekday that they can issue a NOA and expect a response before the season starts would be Friday, May 31st. There are probably worse (for TCUN) days to drop the NOA, if they're patient. For my part though, I'd rather not wait longer. I would love to see TCUN whine about having to prepare a response while the team is in camp. I'd love to see the DFBIA whine about the discussion on week 1 of the season being only about TCUN's weak response.

Some might say the ncaa has never moved that fast in the past. Many of us would respond that there has never been malfeasance for which evidence piled up so high, so fast. Literally within days of Greg Schiano's claim at an in-game interview that some things were happening that shouldn't be, there was so much evidence that the B1G KNEW and COULD PROVE some pretty heavy allegations.

Right now, I'm leaning toward it being true that the probation being announced on 4/16 was not a coincidence. I suspect that they are looking to time things in such a way as to increase the pain and pressure on TCUN. I think there is a better than 50% chance that at some point next month they give us the next big hint that unprecedented Fuquery ==> unprecedented Findoutery (though not to the extent that TCUN deserves).
