They will probably panic hire him cause what they saw happen to the transfer portal and Bama

It is absolutely a panic hire

I mean all the other good candidates have been scooped up already but they likely aren't even going to pursue anyone else at all.

Harbaugh left them completely high and dry no matter how much DFBIA wants to claim otherwise. Clinging to Moore is just a hoping to stay as stable as possible and not get totally crushed by defections move.

Giving a guy a job based off of some "interim" games where Harbaugh was allowed to participate and lead everything but being on the field on game day (even then one would assume Moore had his marching orders from dear leader) is likely not going to end well.

They should keep Moore. They knew this was happening. There was a definite succession plan.

They will do what OSU did with Fick. Give him a interim role for a season. If it works out great, if not see if a hot name comes available.

I think they are going to name him full on head coach.......

Next year won't be a real good gauge for anything though. They were likely headed for a decline year even if Harbaugh came back with all the questions they have especially on offense.

Sherrone Moore has disaster written all over him. Good chance scUM hires him without even doing a real search though.

Seems like a dude who's gonna be remembered as a way better position coach/coordinator than a HC.

Harbaugh with Moore on the offense and Minter on the defense in the perfect climate the year 2023 was, was their receipe for success. Now 2/3 of those are gone (more than likely) leaving 1 to put all the pieces back together.

Good luck.
Yeah the isn’t going to go well for Moore. Similar to Howard I think who they hired for their basketball program.

What people overlook is their inability to be balanced even the slightest the last few games with Moore as HC. Which they were able to get away with because of their defense and their run game efficiencies. They should also get credit for how disciplined they were and how little they turned the ball over. All of which should be attributed to how old they were.

That changes now without Minter, (maybe their strength coach), 44 seniors and now their head coach. Moore will not have those seniors, the smart QB who doesn’t hurt the team and Blake Corum to grind out games.

I wouldn’t be shocked if he manages to go 9-3 this season but I see this slowly falling apart for them and I love it.

I never want to see anyone say “I wish they were good again”. I want Moore to get fired in 4 years after a 4-8 season topped by a 8 TD loss to the bucks.

If nothing else good came from these past three years, at least we won’t ever have to hear “I want Michigan to be good again!” ever again.
