2024-2025 College Basketball General Discussion

So the Big Ten title drought continues....25 years now? That's just...pathetic.
There's been a little bit of bad luck and a little bit of bad timing, but mostly the truth is other programs like Duke, Kansas, UNC and Kentucky have been getting the top players every year. You've got to be a really great judge of talent like Jay Wright or Dan Hurley be a national player at the type of programs that are in the B1G.

The other time the final 4 was all 1 seeds both semi final games sucked.

Kansas beat UNC by 18 and Memphis beat UCLA by 15

The Kansas/UNC game wasn't even as "close" as the score

True.

What has hurt BIG the most is that Indiana has become a garbage program since Knight was fired.

Running out of non-fuck-that-scumbag teams.

Fuck Duke
Fuck Pearl
Fuck Florida
Fuck Phonecall McGee
I don't hate Duke with the vigor I did when that ratfaced scumbag was there, but that's not to say I could root for them. They are a fun team to watch play, though. Sampson is scum, but he did level IU for a good half-decade, plus UH is a non-traditional power and most importantly not SEC. Fuck UF eternally and their coach is an (alleged) creep. Auburn/Pearl speak for themselves. I guess if I had to pick out of the four, it'd be Houston.

Duke-Houston is clearly the most intriguing matchup in the Final Four. Houston is no pushover, Duke will not have an easy victory. Houston has been a favorite in almost all of their games this season, and now they're the underdog. I was really disappointed in Alabama last weekend - they put up very little resistance defensively vs Duke and offensively they were stymied by Duke pushing them off the 3-point line. Houston has grown men who have strength and toughness, they won't let Duke just get whatever they want offensively. Duke might just be versatile enough offensively to be able to just go bombs away from 3 and win anyway, but I have a hunch the game will be a very good one and Houston may well win it.
