2022/23 Bowl Game Discussion Thread

Maryland has their top 3 receivers out prepping for the draft. Jarrett is projected as a round 3-5, Demus should be in rounds 5-7, and Copeland will be lucky to be drafted. I guess they all have enough tape, it's just weird to see.

I remember 2-3 years ago when only players that were projected 1st rounders sat out. Then I remember 5-6 years ago when only the top 10 or so players, and before that no one sat out. I have always thought that all american and other honors should come after the bowl games, but they really are an exhibition game again and I'm starting to change my tune.

Yeah, it’s as big a deal to the 2-3 round kid as it is to the 1st round kid. Just different dollars.
I agree that the non playoff games are back to being exhibition games/reward for players and fans. I don’t hate it at all. Seems like one of the changes that’s self adjusted quite nicely.

Also piss poor clock management by Texas. Sark showing his coaching prowess
There were two times on their next-to-last possession, down by 10 points, where a guy went out of bounds with more than 2 minutes left; each time the clock was correctly stopped temporarily, and then the game clock started when the ball was spotted. Each time, 20 seconds ran off the clock before the ball was snapped. How could Sark and Ewers both be so clueless?

They could have easily had an extra 30 seconds for their last possession.
