If the Buckeyes do to Oregon what I think they'll do to Oregon, I believe we'll swap next week and you guys will be #2.

Exactly.
I just think that early in the season there is a very small catalogue of wins/losses. Voters will simply look at wins over preseason rankings and move teams up and down accordingly.

It's why I'm confident OSU will jump us this week when they win/cover against Oregon.

Regarding both Clemson and Georgia, playing defense at that level will win most games, but I don't think it will get you past Alabama or the Buckeyes.

Clemson drops from 2 to 5 after losing against a really good Georgia team but only scored 3 points. We lose by 7 to a really good, apparently, Oregon team and drop from 3 to where? I'm guessing 12.
