2021 CFB Playoff Discussion

I don't want to be a buzzkill, and 99% of me is displeased this is the final.

But, my Father-in-Law committed suicide last March. He was diagnosed with Parkinsons and suffered from depression. He was born and raised and lived his whole life in Georgia. Graduated from UGA in '75 or '76. I met with him a few times but never had the chance to truly bond, and I know we would have over CFB and music (we're fortunate to inherit his massive vinyl collection). It would be great to see the Dawgs win this one, if for nothing other than a little closure. Either way, win or lose, we miss you Gary.

The defensive signal call... it didn't look like the guy was clapping? It looked like he was smacking his fists/forearms together. How much noise could that have really made?

I could be dumb, I don't know. Seemed weird.

Agreed. They're intense like no other team in CFB. Definitely one of the reasons Saban has been in 2374 title games.
I get it when Jameson Williams basically said “I went hard at Ohio State but I got to Bama and went harder”…hope some changes in attitude/S&C are made to fix that.

Urban - for all his faults - was the only other motivator on that level. Getting kids to fight as if their life depends on every 4-6 second play. Helps that Saban is basically running a pro club and you may get cut if you don’t give it your all.

Gawja needs an all-world defensive performance to overcome the disparities at QB and head coach. They needed that defensive TD, for starters. Too bad it didn't count.
