Watched the 2018 game (1 hour version) on BTN yesterday. I had forgotten about the dreadful Martell plays at the end of the first half and on the second drive in the second half. Everybody in the stadium knew what was coming, and the plays never broke the line of scrimmage inside the tsun 5. We left 8 points on the board right there. I really wanted 70.

2018 - the game when Valenti pointed out how many calls Michigan got and still couldn't win, countering the constant whine from them about how the refs always favor the Buckeyes

GREAT ARTICLE!!!

My Favorite Things is an escape from all of that. The philosophy is simple:

When I'm feeling sad
I simply remember my favorite things
And then I don't feel so bad

So let's do that. Today we head back to Ann Arbor on November 24, 2001. Ohio State is going for it on 4th & 1 from the Michigan 46-yard line.

@Ramzy is ripping me off. 8D

I think his performance gets lost because the team (aside from The Game) was forgettable and there's been so many great performances since, but Jonathan Wells 1st half in 2001 was pivotal in swinging the rivalry. 25 for 129 and 3 TDs, on a day when the rest of the offense put up 126 yards, and 25 for 8 yards rushing. Hats off to him.

I remember posting a few years ago about how the lack of WRs blocking in The Game in '96 prevented the team from having a comfortable lead at the half. On Stanley's non-block, where Woodson makes the tackle, Stanley wouldn't have needed to make a block if the play design had him run a 5-yard out, instead of running into the middle of the field, leading his defender to the play. There were a lot of plays like that in that '96 game, and it was also evident in the Rose Bowl, although it didn't end up costing the Buckeyes a win in Pasadena.
