I would LOVE it if Desmond went on ESPN and basically said the same thing Herbie did. "This situation from OSU could be them trying to avoid a loss this weekend knowing that they're already in the top-4 with just 5 games so why risk a loss to Northwestern."

(Okay.....I wouldn't really love it since I'd like to think Desmond has more integrity than to be irresponsible like Herbie....but maybe he can do it tongue-in-cheek to give him a hard time.)

Except, you know, Herbstreit was right and Michigan did duck their games for three straight weeks with 9 athletes at the entire school reportedly testing positive.

While Ohio State played MSU with three times that many players missing including 3/5 of the offensive line and is going to play Northwestern tomorrow regardless of the players who may be missing.

The level of stupidity here is literally alternate reality level delusional.

And lets pretend for a second that the team is just made up of colossal pussies top to bottom, and they DO want to duck this game. It would have nothing to do with NW and everything to do with getting to the CFP (which is a stupid strategy.....but whatever). They ducked us because they are afraid of us. In this completely fabricated scenario, we'd be avoiding a game to get us closer to a title.
