I just rewatched scUM’s scoring drive at the end of the game when they were down 10 and I defy anybody to find a dumber sequence of situational play-calling in recent history. They need to score, stop Sparty and score again, all in 5:11. They proceed to call a bunch of passes across the middle and Milton takes off several times on runs getting tackled nowhere near the sidelines. In 18 plays, they get out of bounds to stop the clock TWICE. I counted twice that Milton could have got out of bounds on runs to stop the clock, but went straight forward to get another two or three yards. They weren’t exactly getting to the line for the next play with anything that I’d call a sense of urgency. They score to cut the sparty lead to three with :36 on the clock.

It was as stunning a display of incompetence both from a play-calling and execution standpoint in what should be a hurry up situation as I’ve ever witnessed. It is the undeniable proof that that program has no clue how to rise above mediocre with this current regime. It was beautiful.
I was really enjoying all the 5 yard check downs right in the middle of the field; the offensive brain trust for UM must have been so excited that MSU was leaving that so open. Hit it again, they’re just giving it to us! It’s almost like MSU was up by two scores with under 5 minutes to go and were very happy to let UM put together a clock grinding drive.

The cherry on the cake was UM getting stuffed on a standard run right up the middle on first and goal.

I thought that was a 2012 photo of the Boise State "equipment truck" after hitting a cow.

Boise State equipment truck takes out a cow

Now Boise State's equipment truck has hit a cow.

According to Boise State, the university's equipment truck struck the bovine early Wednesday morning about an hour outside of Albuquerque. Neither of the drivers were injured and there was no damage to the contents of the truck, said a university spokesman.

The cow, on the other hand, was not so lucky.

Dude, that’s a trailer. Intentionally chosen (instead of a wrecked truck) to jab how that scUM MOB might move. They don’t need a truck. Not much there.

Now about your poor cow. When’s the BBQ?

I love this tweet so, so much.

And as I searched to find this, just to recap the 247 composite ranking of the players they were hyping so much:

6/20 #254
6/23 #160
6/23 #394
6/23 #430
6/23 #442
6/23 #495
6/24 N/A
6/25 #398
6/26 #80
6/27 #148
6/27 #201

I'm guessing the "N/A" kid was one of the starting corners?

[@ORD_Buckeye] At TDU, drivers are taught how to drive real rigs, not little trailers that get towed. [/ORD_Buckeye]
