Maize n Brew: Thanks to Land-Grant Holy Land for helping us preview the team ahead of the season. We wish their team nothing but the pain and misfortune that Michigan fans have felt for the last number of years in this rivalry!

Well, I wish them (i.e. scUM fans) continued pain and misfortune for many years to come......:lol:

New vBet on how many wins TSUN will get on the actual football field by December 15th, which excludes the final crossover weekend games. If somebody has to forfeit to TSUN, that doesn’t count as a win on the field. A lot of postponements could limit their chances, as could their lack of talent and their lack of head coaching acumen.

Odds are 7-3 for both 4 and 5 wins.

My Dad was raised in Minnesota and he told me a story once about a home game he watched the Gophers play in the 20s.

Minnie asked for a measurement after a play and was a bit short. Next play they were offsides and moved back 5 yards.

Following play the defense was offsides. Minnie asked for another measurement and had the first down.

My Dad didn't make stuff like that up.

This same thing occurred in a Cowboys game within the last decade or so. 4th and inches after measurement. False start, back 5. Off sides. Forward 5. Hey, that looks close, let's remeasure. Look at that. First down!

Reminds me a little bit about this play. At least 2 inches short of the marker. First down, anyway.
However, no harm, no foul.
