It was said on the radio at the time that he was the first Buckeye to train by lifting weights. I don't know how much stock we can put in those radio reports; what I know with certainty is that he was the reason that I started lifting weights at the age of 10. He was the original Wolverine Slayer. He planted his feet in the end-zone and did his Gandalf impression, and they did not pass (or run).

Today is one of those days... Not a lot of Buckeyes that a lot of people remember wore #70

Even the guy that I believe to be our best #70 ever is a guy that you won't find very many pictures of on the internet.

My source here is a video of the 1972 edition of The Game posted by Our Honor Defend on YouTube. It was George Hasenohrl's last game in the 'Shoe.

That's the best picture of him from that video.

The picture below shows him closing in on the skunkbear QB on his final play of his final game in the 'Shoe. He made the tackle to preserve a 14-11 victory.
