Jones is better than McCarron. I don't don't think he's a top tier QB but he's not a game manager either.

Menkwitz heaped praise on Matt something for his "ideas" in pass defense. And that was the area where NW shined the most this year, I think.

Say what you will, but Bama isn't great on defense. They can blitz and are talented, but this ND team is having success running the ball with a mediocre QB.
