Why is there still a "5 seconds" rule in the shot clock era? Then again, why is there still a 1 and 1 in the three point shot era?

Johnny Dawkins on CBS acting like he has the same team coming back. "We'll learn from the Duke loss and move on." I don't think he has fully accepted the season is over, two of his big three, Tacko and Taylor, are done. His son is awesome and they have a good forward also but their stock is dropping.

What else is he going to say? "We had a good run, damn near beat Duke, but we're gonna suck next year."

If I were him, I would acknowledge the guys UCF is losing are pretty special and tough to replace. He acted like they won't skip a beat, but clearly they aren't going to be the same.

knew and had a number of conversations with a student manager for the 91/92 duke teams. was there for laettner's shot against uk. he's the indian dude running onto the court with a clipboard. anyway, he said grant hill was the whitest guy on the team. also that it's true that no one liked laettner.
