Maybe my favorite part of it was how UM concealed their starting pitcher for Game 2 until the last possible moment, trying to prevent Vandy from being able to prepare, and while it worked for 5 innings, they lost the game anyway. I believe it wasn't announced until 2 hours before the game that Paige, a reliever who hadn't pitched in over 2 weeks, would start Game 2.

The kicker was for Game 3, UM had to start a new DH because their normal DH injured his leg while running to 1st base in Game 2. Then on the lineup card for Game 3, the UM manager listed the same relief pitcher who surprisingly started Game 2, Isaiah Paige, as their starting DH. UM "pinch hit" for Paige in what would've been his first at-bat, so he never really was the DH. So much trickery, for yet another L.
