8 years ago, 'The Simpsons' actually predicted USA winning gold in curling
The longest-running show on television has done it again, ladies and gentlemen. FOX’s The Simpsons is known for predicting huge events, long before they actually occur in real life.
Just like the show predicted Lady Gaga doing a Super Bowl halftime show and the Donald Trump presidency, The Simpsons hit the nail on the head eight years ago predicting a gold-medal run for the USA men’s curling team.
he episode was entitled “Boy Meets Curl,” and Homer and Marge led Team USA to a gold medal, beating out Sweden and Russia in that episode to claim the top prize.
Obviously the show didn’t get this prediction 100 percent correct — instead of Russia, Switzerland got bronze this time around — but it’s impossible not to be blow away at this prediction, anyway.

NBC just had the women’s gold medal game on. Forgot how good that Jocelyne Lamoureux shootout goal was.
