2018 Week 14 CFB Open Thread

Oklahoma just avenged their only loss. They're in. Ohio State's only hope is Pittsburgh.

If we're undefeated and lose to NW tonight, we dont get in.
But we're not. We'll never really know because of the Purdue (and Iowa..... more sure) loss.

You guys can call it tinfoil, but we soa know Saban is smart. He knows he can lose like he's losing now and still be in..... AND likely GA will also.

If you don't think that's better in the long run for Saban, why isn't it?

If they can pull a 59-0 kind of performance out of nowhere, I think the committee could be persuaded to pick OSU over OU, but that's the only way they get in assuming there's no Clemsoning tonight.

You know who should pucker up if that happens? The team that squeaked by the two teams we blew the doors off of to end the season. Unfortunately they were good for several decades (most recently about 30 years ago) and have a huge following, so they are a lock.

At this point, Saban has nothing to prove, but he can help his conference, his money, and Bama by not winning.

Saban is 67 years old and makes $10 million a year. He doesn't need to "help his conference" for any reason, and certainly not at his own (or his team's) expense.

The best thing he can do for himself and his recruiting is win everything - the conference, the NC, a Heisman, all of it. Sacrificing a conference title game on national TV doesn't help him in those efforts.

And of course Bama coming back to win this. If UGA wins, the field is set and stays as is.
I just don't see it. People talk about not wanting to see the matchup again, but Purdue not getting out of the West fucked OSU. Get them back at a neutral site and none of these other games matter.
