REJOICE! OHIO STATE SEASON TICKETS COULD BE $14 CHEAPER IN 2018

87336_h.jpg

Despite Ohio State facing a premiere opponent in Penn State last Saturday, there were empty seats in the northwest corner and sprinkled throughout Ohio Stadium.

This week, Ohio State's office has pumped ticket availability for the Michigan State and Illinois games—something it never has done this late in the season under Urban Meyer.

But it looks like Ohio State has a plan to ward off creeping attendance problems by lowering season ticket prices from $695 to $681 — a whopping $14 — according to a report from Laura D. Newpoff of Columbus Business First.

Planned prices for the 2018 home slate:

OPPONENT TICKET PRICE ($)
OREGON STATE........ $95
RUTGERS.................$80
TULANE....................$67
INDIANA...................$86
MINNESOTA..............$96
NEBRASKA................$180
MICHIGAN................$195

Entire article: https://www.elevenwarriors.com/ohio...eason-tickets-could-be-14-cheaper-next-season

Just sayin': In comparison to the other games, Nebraska is way overpriced.

SEASON TICKET PRICE PRORATION

Oregon State.... $85
Rutgers............ $68
Tulane...............$57
Indiana............ $77
Minnesota......... $82
Nebraska........ $102
Michigan......... $168

Season Prices $639

My season ticket price was $1278.00 (for a pair) plus a $35 rip off processing fee by Ticketmaster.

Apparently, for the 2018 football season, individual game tickets will be priced as follows:

PUBLIC SINGLE GAME TICKETS

Oregon State.... $99
Rutgers............ $80
Tulane...............$67
Indiana............ $90
Minnesota......... $96
Nebraska........ $120
Michigan......... $197

Howdy OSU fans!

From a TCU fan I can say we are looking forward to our match up in a few months at Jerry world. However, myself and some fellow frog fans agree the official prices are a bit outrageous.

I wanted to get a perspective from your side and see what yall think?

I think you'll faint when you see what you'll need to pay for seats in Ohio Stadium the following season. That's what I think.

Re: Those prices are crazy even in the nose bleed section, shouldn’t have moved the game to Jerry World.

Re: The Ohio State football team will play Texas Christian on Sept. 15, 2018, in AT&T Stadium, home of the Dallas Cowboys, for a payout of $5 million each to the teams.

Welcome to the "real world" of big time college football. The schools have to get the money from somewhere to pay their coaches (Patterson's $5M+ per year and Urban's $7.6M+ per year contracts).... . I'm sure with the TV contract money and ticket sales each school finds this game much more profitable than a home-and-home series or they wouldn't have agreed to it. It's all about the money these days. In addition, a big prime time TV game always helps in recruiting too.

I'm not sure how many of the tickets generally get bought up to be re-sold, but I'd rather as much of the market price go to the athletic departments as possible, rather than the scalpers. I doubt re-sale is less than those prices.

What I've read about Las Colinas is that it is a "ritzy" part of Dallas....is this true? I just need to know my neighborhoods when we go out on Thur and Fri and Sat(gameday)...... I'd much prefer this be in a "college town" as that's where the most fun is usually had.....but I'm sure in a city as big as Dallas....there will be tons of spots to try out via uber.

Got to pick my staff seats for the season today: even with a higher priority than last year, pickins were slimmer than in the past... have been in 9A/11A for a few years, but I'm moving to the front of C-deck this time around.
