2018-2019 College Basketball Discussion (Official Thread)

And no matter how bad those teams are, one of them is going dancing.

It's almost always New Mexico State, who should join the WCC or MWC and the WAC can just go away. But as long as they get an auto bid I can see why they stay.

The Aggies are the only holdover from the days when the WAC had BYU, New Mexico, Nevada, etc..

As I understand it, the NET rankings do matter but not as much when it comes to the NET ranking of the team itself. It's more about the Quad 1 and Quad 2 wins that they have--which, of course, is determined by the NET rankings of the opponents that were beaten.

Yes, it's kind of weird!

Obviously you want to be a jinx. :smash:

Yeah, I mean, the reality is that the committee doesn't have to put this Buckeye team in. I think you look at the bubble teams around them and you have to think that Buckeyes get no worse than the play-in game, but at the end of the day a board room is still making these decisions and the Buckeyes are not well within the safe zone, they are amongst a group of teams that the committee is using to fill up the bottom of the at-larges.
