Illinois up a 30 piece vs the Gophers

I think this was a break-out game for the Illini in several ways and shows what their offense can be like when firing on all cylinders, but man, that has got to be a tough pill for Minny. They got destroyed by a team who had 4 wins.

I turned it off when Sparty went up by 12 with 2 minutes left on the game clock.

I see that 11 fouls, 2 time outs, and probably 15-20 actual minutes later, Sparty won anyway.

Badgers in a similar spot as the Buckeyes were last night. Desperate for a win (lost 3 of 4), at home versus a team that may be a little content with their start.

Wouldn’t be shocked to see that team go down today, even if they outmatch Wisconsin on paper.

Yep, Wisconsin brought it today. Great intensity, executed their game plan. Wolverines finally hit the loss column. Good stuff.

The hard part about this is feeling our team isn't even in the mix with the B1G right now. Teams are beating up on each other but, at the moment, we're just one of the teams getting beat up on.

I shouldn’t harp on it, but again from what I said above. Ohio State was in the same sort of “scheduled spot” 16 hours ago where it should have been set up for a win. The only difference is a Friday night game at Schott vs. an 11am tip in the Kohl Center. I’ll freely admit scenario #2 is tougher, but also consider Ttun >> Maryland.

Difference is one team, even when outmatched, executes. The other team is our Buckeyes. Disappointing.

By the way, the bonus from all this is the Wolverines' loss prevents them from touching that #1 spot in the polls should #1 Duke lose tonight vs. #4 Virginia.

Bonus bonus, if you're following along, you can now safely root for Duke to lose knowing it won't benefit those assholes up north getting a #1 next to their name.

I dont expect UM to make a F4 run this season. Brazdeikis is not close to what Wagner was, and they dont have enough scoring balance or depth.

Still not sure what Archie Miller is that Tom Crean wasn't. Bringing in high level talent but there is no continuity or flow or direction.

Guess Purdue is going to be another really tough games for us. Haarms and Williams will just stand in front of Kaleb and Carsen will be like Cowan Plus.

It would be just like Tom Izzo to take his team to a Final Four this year, after having a team fall flat with better talent last season.

I've been a big believer in MSU this season. Not one of Izzo's most talented teams (especially while Langford sits out) but they play so connected and efficient on both ends.

Of course, I thought similar things about their team Valentine's senior season and then they lost to a 15 seed.
