Just in case you wanted to get a jump on next season already.

Ohio State still has at least two football games to play for this season, but just in case you want to go ahead and get a jump on next season, you have the first date to mark on your calendar. Per Bill Landis at Cleveland.com, Ohio State's 2016 spring game is scheduled for April 16, in Ohio Stadium.

As has been recent tradition, next year's Spring Game will also include a lacrosse game before the football action. In the 2015 Spring Game, Ohio State battled lacrosse powerhouse Maryland, but in 2016, the Buckeyes will face Michigan. Kickoff times, television and ticking information will come later, per Landis, but if recent history is any indication, an early afternoon kickoff seems likely.

Next year's Spring Game could be the most interesting of the Urban Meyer era at Ohio State, given the number of projected open spots on the two-deep, thanks to graduations and many key contributors who are likely to declare for the NFL Draft. Ohio State will need to replace multiple offensive linemen, a running back, multiple wideouts, a linebacker, key contributors on the defensive line, and more. Thanks to several highly regarded recruiting classes, there should be plenty of young, talented players looking to take their place.
