As much as I hate to say it, the guy was a great player for Oakland. I'd almost like him if he wasn't such a shitbag traitor. Can't forget about that disaster of an end-around against SD on Christmas Eve, although he did give Teo a smooth cleat to the chest following the play.
I didn't get to see too much of OAK this past season, but the little I saw showed me Woodson did not look like he still belonged in the league. Have to give him the benefit of a doubt though, because no matter what you think of him regarding his collegiate allegiance, he's an all-time player at both levels.
The guy was a GREAT player everywhere he played plain & simple. He'll always have that certain stigma to us Buckeye fans, but you have to give the man the respect he deserves as the amazing player he was. Don't have to like him, you can absolutely despise him, but you have to give him his due.As much as I hate to say it, the guy was a great player for Oakland. It's infuriating how good the Pats are at acquisitions & the such. They ALWAYS seem to get the better hand of the deals they make. No other team is even in the breath as them in this regard. Randy Moss for a 4th Rounder!? Still pisses me off.of course the Patriots can trade away their stud DE, get a draft pick and a player in return, then sign a guy as good as the player they traded away.
he wasn't worth much more than that when he was acquired. just shitty the Pats were the one to cash in on that one. It's infuriating how good the Pats are at acquisitions & the such. Yeah he was 30 at the time & kind of fell out of the mainstream during his time in Oakland, but he was still Randy Moss. Nobody scared DB's more in that era than him, other than of course his complete indifference towards blocking & refusal to run routes when the ball wasn't coming his way.he wasn't worth much more than that when he was acquired. just [Mark May]ty the Pats were the one to cash in on that one.
Oakland could have gone on SportsCenter and said, "Hey rest of the league, the Pats are offering a 4th rounder. Match it or beat it or we're giving them Randy Moss." The rest of the league would've shrugged and said, "Whatver."Yeah he was 30 at the time & kind of fell out of the mainstream during his time in Oakland, but he was still Randy Moss. His contract certainly loomed large, but those shrewd bastards in Foxboro immediately restructured it like the evil geniuses they are. Ironically enough he went for a 3rd Rounder three years later...Oakland could have gone on SportsCenter and said, "Hey rest of the league, the Pats are offering a 4th rounder. At least Flacco can get the ball downfield. Teddy can't even get it to the 1st down marker. Diggs is probably already looking for a way out in the future as well. And so he chose Flacco?
