2016 CFB Week 12 Open Thread

Because it would give us a Top 5 win and help us pass the "eye test" without winning the B1G. Especially because we looked like [Mark May] on a stick today. Unless MSU or Rutgers (yes, I'm still hanging onto the hope of this) beats PSU, we would need to count on Washington and probably Colorado getting beat. Let's hope that happens today.

Edit to say: Replace our name with Washington and put Wisky in. That's how we get left out. Oh, and the committee would probably rather not put us in with Wisky/PSU. If we beat the #3 team, it would be impossible not to.

It wouldn't be a Top 5 win anyways since scUM will drop out of the Top 5 after we beat them. Your "Top 10 wins" really matter where the team is ranked at the end of the year not when the game was played. That said, win and we're in. The 4th spot will be a battle between Wisky & The PAC 12 champion. Oklahoma will be hindered with no championship game to be played and their conference isn't respected by the committee.

How would it hurt OSU? Either way, after Ohio State whips scUMs ass next week they are going to be at 2 losses and on the way out of the top 10 depending on championship week.

A top after "The Game" was already likely to be: Bama, OSU, Clemson, Wisky/Washington - its just going to happen earlier than expected

I'm assuming that after back to back losses the CFP would drop tsun big time and therefore hurt (to whatever degree) the overall OSU resume.
