This is more of a general post than a specific game post so I apologize if it should go somewhere else but I'm so sick of hearing from SEC & national people that Ohio State would finish 2nd or 3rd in the SEC. The reason the SEC is the premier conference at the moment isn't b/c they've figured out some secret to play better football than any other conference, it's b/c they have advantages no other conference has. There are more good players in the Southeast than anywhere else. There just are. And they have other advantages like the unique way they are allowed to "discipline" their players. They can over sign. And I think players should be paid above the table so this isn't even necessarily a criticism imo but I'm sure they pay their players under the table more than any other conference. It is what is.
So, yeah, maybe Ohio State wouldn't dominate the SEC like they do the B1G, but they reverse is also true: bring Alabama up to the B1G and tell them to recruit Pennsylvania and Michigan instead of Louisiana and Florida and play by B1G rules and I guarantee you they ain't winning no 3 national titles in 5 years. Hell, we've already seen what happens when Saban has to use Northern players and play by Northern rules: you get a lot of 6 win seasons.
By definition Indiana would have finished second this year, so there is that.
