I don't think it would necessarily be advantageous to do that. They should gameplan to their talent and speed and they will be in a close game at worst.

Of course I'm biased but I think Aub QB, Nick Marshall is one of the best running QB's in the nation and their running back Artis-Payne is a better runner than Ezell. I stand by my statement, I don't think tOSU will establish an effective running game on the Tide. And I don't think Ezell gets 100 yards on Bama. But heck ...what do I really know.Didn't Auburn run for 200 plus? Saying the tOSU can't establish an effective running game, or even being shocked by the possibility is quite the reach.
Agreed. That's what everybody does now. They will do everything they can to keep Alabama from doing situational substitutions. Speeding it up takes about the red zone packages that Alabama deploys on defense. They won't run plays faster (generally) but they will hurry up to the line preventing subs.
I think Bama can win if they hold the total rushing yards somewhere around or below 150. If Kiffin can get a couple of early scores it will change the gameplan I think. I think tOSU is going to try to do what OU did in the Sugarbowl last year. I don't think they'll find as much success because UA's LB play is much faster/spread oriented.Of course I'm biased but I think Aub QB, Nick Marshall is one of the best running QB's in the nation and their running back Artis-Payne is a better runner than Ezell. Nick Marshall led his team to the BCS Championship game. Jones and co. beat an overrated WI team..IMO. Prediction...Marshall will have a better game against WI, than C. Jones vs Ala.I see Mississippi State as resembling the Buckeyes more on defense. They have nowhere near the playmakers on offense as the Buckeyes.
Agree with the Auburn comparison, except Nick Marshall would be fourth string in Columbus.

I don't see C. Jones scampering down the field on this team but heck I could be very wrong. He is not the runner that Prescott or Marshall is...IMO.I think Bama can win if they hold the total rushing yards somewhere around or below 150. IDK about Artis-Payne being better than Zeke. Cameron doesn't have the speed to get to the edge and Elliott does. They have a bit different running styles too. Maybe Meyer will neglect to use him. I was calling plays the other night and everything tOSU was doing was wrong.
If we're going to use stats here it's important to note how highly ranked the passing offenses have been that OSU has faced, right? I haven't looked, but I'd guess there's almost half of the SEC with a higher passing ranking than the best passing team OSU has faced this year—which would be Sparty, right?
