Yes, Alabama has struggled in the past with some hurry up teams. Nick Saban has recruited lighter linebackers and defensive ends to combat this type offense. This was his first year really with experienced players to stop the HUNH. He has focused more this season on conditioning particularly of the defense and linebackers than he has before. I think they looked a little out of sorts against Ole Miss when they were running no huddle. We had the wrong group in or something at least one time. They have managed it pretty well since then I think. Forcing teams into predictable down and distance helps a lot. Does OSU stick to their tendencies. MSU ran Dak Prescott on 3rd and 3 like every play and that was mainly what got them beat. Horrible playcalling IMO.

The refs only stop play when the offense substitutes. IDK what you are watching, but if he's standing over the ball it's because one of your guys stepped off of the field and the defense gets time to adjust. Alabama runs the hurry up offense as good as anybody now so you might get a taste of your own medicine. :wink: I'm more worried about Zeke Elliot than anybody else. That guy can flat out play ball. I do like OSU's blocking up front. Good thing Bama has a good d-line. I watched OSUs season highlights and most of the Big 10 title game.

One offense cannot be truthfully measured against another unless they have played the same opponents on the schedule during the season, so this is a very subjective statement. But whatever, this is all useless banter on here and that is why they play the game. GO BUCKEYES!

MSU had only been held under 34 pts one time until the bama game. Bama gave up a garbage time td late. That was a game that felt like bama was in total control the entire time. Bama also forced MSU into a safety.

Many teams have put up good yardage numbers against bama this year. They have not often found the ability to score td's though. That will be a key for OSU. They can't settle for FG's.

Bama will give up yards. OSU will get inside the 20. The question is what will happen in the red zone?

and the point previously being made was the home/away splits for Bama this year.

MSU is probably the team most like OSU that Bama has faced this year. It was at home and MSU still did alright.

What? Auburn ran for nearly 200 yards on the tide. I'd say that's success.

The staff must have spent a lot of time in the offseason working on it because they have made a lot of improvements on getting the guys ready pre snap for this. He said he feels guilty because he has to coach more on the speed of the game than the tactics, which takes away from really teaching the players the game. With so many players that are going into the league from our team I can understand this wish to hammer into them the fundamentals of the game.

It was a 99 point game. IDK where they got the yards. I was at a bar in Auburn pouring down fat tire. I think OSU has a much better RZ offense than Auburn though I think Nick presented speed at QB that Jones can't touch. I like the big guy to throw it away or take sacks more than I like him to pick up the first running the ball on 3rd down. I know you guys will think otherwise though.
