I'm a pretty ardent Tom Herman defender, but that was not his best game by a long shot. Cardale Jones inexperience, some bad luck and some outstanding punting by Bama hamstrung him at times, but the lack of red zone carries for Elliott and the deep pass on first down of the final offensive series were terrible. The latter decision was one of the dumbest things I've ever seen an Ohio State team do. That was some Les Miles shit. Not gonna dwell on it though - the Buckeyes won, put up 40+ against the best defensive coaches in the game and are about to play for a championship.
