Did NFL run sting operation on Patriots to trigger deflate-gate?

Again, this is a league that cares more about the Integrity of the Shield than they care about actual football. If deflating footballs is such a horrendous crime against the game, why would the NFL seemingly allow it to go forward in the manner suggested unless they cared more about the image of the league office than about the game itself? Who needs a sting operation when you could simply do away with the absurd chain of custody for game balls that allows this to potentially take place? A child could figure this out.

This league is going to crumble under the weight of its own ego.
