Ah, Rufus. He was in Woody's course with me in winter of 66. First day Woody tells us that he knows the guys who want an A or a B because they'll be sitting in the front three rows. So back off the 8 o'clock start time and figure you have to be in the Dent School building NLT 7:45. About the third week and I'm sitting in row 2. Just before 8, Woody's footsteps ringing off the terrazo floor and I hear this grunt and then "Hey!, You can't do that. That's my seat."

I turn around just in time to see Rufus bench press Tim Anderson and deposit him in row four then slipping into Tim's row 3 seat. Rufus no more than sits down than Woody opens the door, "Something wrong Tim?"

"No, Coach."

And class went on.

I put this here for a couple reasons;

  1. I don't have a good OSU #66 image
  2. I had to look up who the fuck he was
  3. He graduated in 2010 meaning his class joined the UM classes of 2007, 2008 and 2009 as 4 time losers.
  4. I try and always recognize significant achievement when I see it and being part of the Quadrivium of scUM Fail is no mean feat.
