Reasonings are as such. TCU gets my nod at 2 because while they haven't played much defense they are starting to settle down there and that offense is just dangerous (they've also played Minnesota at night on the road). Clemson/LSU have both been solid particularly on defense and are undefeated. While Alabama lost to Ole' miss it was early in the year when Alabama still was tinkering with their QB position, but their front 7 on defense is stout and I like their odds to beat LSU. Michigan State while they continue to win have been very shaky in most of their games and their win against Oregon looks less impressive now (plus they have a ton of health issues at the moment). Baylor just lost their QB and I am personally penalizing them for the schedule that they have played thus far and this has been their downfall for a while now (beating up on a piss poor schedule). Notre Dame has some good wins in there and their only loss was @ Clemson by a few points. My sleeper team is Houston and it's not because of Herman it's because their defense is nasty and their offense keeps getting better their tough stretch is coming up with Memphis/Navy/Cincy so keep an eye on them I gave them the nod over Memphis because of their defense. Okie State is undefeated but still have all of their big opponents left. Florida has a great defense and seem to be getting enough on offense and if that continues they should greet LSU/Alabama in their championship game. Memphis has a few good wins (Ole miss) and have played solid all year thus far. Florida State is athletic with a decent QB but what is key is the health of Dalvin Cook and you combine that with a good defense (plus a fluke loss to GT) and they could make a big move if they top Clemson in two weeks. Stanford just plays solid/Smart ball and if they hope to make a move they can't come down to missed field goals by teams such as Wazzou State. Scum has a great defense and two very tough losses but what holds them back is their offense that is near the bottom in the NCAA as a whole however big games with OSU/PSU lay ahead for them.

I really have a hard time differentiating a 2 yet, but Clemson beat ND, crushed Miami, and won last weeks rivalry game, so they are there for now. LSU obviously has the worlds attention this weekend. Not sold on Baylor at all, I think Okie State might be the most complete team in the Big XII. Much as I mock the overration of the SEC, I do think Alabama and Florida are pretty good. Stanford could get a playoff spot if they win out. Likewise, if Memphis goes undefeated, beating Ole Piss, Navy, Houston, and Temple twice in 3 weeks, they would merit some thought in the top 5. Utah looks far less impressive now.

1 Ohio State - I'm biased
2 Clemson - One of the most impressive wins thus far
3 LSU - that win over Florida is looking better by the week, but still not quite buying it
4 MSU - best win is Michigan so far... like LSU, not quite buying it

5 Iowa - Wins against Pitt and Wisconsin are respectable, plus Northwestern (unlike #8)
6 Notre Dame - Like Iowa, these next 3 teams have wins against some opponents on the fringe of the top25... but close losses to Clemson and LSU are better than a close loss to Northwestern
7 Florida
8 Stanford
_________________________
9 TCU - The 3 BigXII teams have literally played nobody and the only one that's looked dominant just lost their QB. Penalizing OkSt and Baylor partly just for their terrible OOC schedules
10 Oklahoma St
11 Baylor

12 Memphis is killing it and provided a lot of entertainment this year, also beat Ole Miss (unlike 13)
13 Alabama - Lost at home to the team Florida beat, a lot of questions still on offense and their pass D is still a weak point
14 Utah - next 2 teams look shaky at best... a win over Michigan and losing to USC is better than OU's non-schedule and terrible loss
15 Oklahoma

When we had a BP poll in the past, we PMed our ballots to LJB by the deadline and he announced the collective results. Then everyone posted their ballots publically. This time around, are we just posting them publically from the get go?

Since everyone else is posting their ballots up front, I'll do the same this week:

1) Ohio State
2) Clemson
3) Baylor
4) LSU
5) Michigan State
6) TCU
7) Alabama
8) Iowa
9) Notre Dame
10) Stanford
11) Florida
12) Oklahoma State
13) Utah
14) Florida State
15) Memphis
