The B1G, as a conference doesn't care enough. South Carolina was a perennial doormat. They went out and got Lou Holtz, cheating be damned. Then followed him up with Spurrier. LSU was thoroughly mediocre for too long, went out and got Saban. Ditto bammer. I don't see any B1G doormat or flailing programs shelling out the cash to make inspired hires like those. It is what it is. The B1G is a subpar football conference. So fuck 'em all. tOSU just needs to take care of their own business.

Agreed 100% They just don't care. Watching the start of the bama game, and why doesn't SOMEONE in the Big Ten go and freaking throw $3mil at Kirby Smart? Almost triple the guy's salary. Guy can coach. Stop hiring MAC coaches, it's not working. Why can't they just go grab coaches from lesser SEC teams, Kentucky, Ole Miss, Miss St. Coaches that can recruit.

WSU - Win
Cal - Loss
LSU - Loss
Oregon - Loss
Va Tech - Loss
Domers (independent that has a chance to be in the dance) - Loss
WvU - Loss
Iowa State - Loss
Washington - Loss
TCU - Loss

Not to mention that there's still tonight's games:

Purdue v Domers - we know how that's going to go...
The Cult Plays Rutgers - Sigh.

And right on cue....Domers take the lead on Purdue.

Funny thing is - Mike Mayock is doing the Domers' game, and they're talking about the Domers' unis. Talks about how some of the alums don't like the new unis.

He says, "Yeah, but they're our age. It's cool to the kids, and it's all about recruiting."

Sigh. Recruiting. What is this thing called recruiting?
Is this what gives the SEC their dominance?

I'd like to think that the SEC is a lot like Heaven.....a place where no wrong is done and everyday is paradise.

(on cue, Purdue goes from 3rd and 1 to 3rd and 11 with a holding call).
