2014 Week 14 CFB Open Thread

I know this will be unpopular (and when has that stopped me?), but watching the S-E-C showdowns today just persuades me more than ever that it is by far the best college football conference this season. Ole Miss-Miss St and Alabama-Auburn are better games than I've seen played in any other conference. Great, great talent.

Florida State ... I'm just trying to figure out whether it's Jimbo's soul or Jameis's soul that is forfeit. Completely unexplainable without supernatural involvement.
Georgia Tech, Louisville, Clemson, Free Shoes (and Indiana) just might disagree.

the East sucks ass.
we called it at work when Mizzou and A&M joined that Mizzou would be more successful early due to the dreadful division.

Even so, victories over highly rated East teams by the West helped inflate the rankings of the West teams. If the East sucks ass, then victories over those teams shouldn't have been enough to send teams skyrocketing up the polls (see aTm vs SCe).

I've tuned this out. I'm watching Big Trouble in Little China.

In World of Warcraft, under the Karazhan raid are the Karazhan crypts, a zone which has never been opened to players, even though it used to be possible to cheat/hack your way down there.

To get down, you literally had to fall into a very deep, dark pit. The only thing that keeps you from dying to the falling damage is a huge pile of corpses. The crypts are very spooky; eerie ambient music and screams are heard, and as you gingerly make your way, you come across a large pool that you have to swim through. The pool is filled with vertical chains, with bodies attached to the chains by their necks, with the bodies floating upward. It's the Pool of the Upside Down Sinners, and the Blizzard team ripped it straight from Big Trouble in Little China. Due to the whole immersion factor of it being 'you' down there, it is a whole hell of a lot more scary than the movie.

Pretty freaking cool to come across it in a video game, especially when you are some place you clearly are not supposed to be.

Ohio State needed a strong finish to win: "terrible showing by the Buckeyes. Just not Top 4 material."

FSU needed a strong finish to win: "Great team that just finds a way to get it done. "

I was at the game...were the announcers really saying that?

Changed the channel immediately after hearing: FSU wins by 5, OSU HANGS ON to win.

Yeah, right. Screw you bozo announcers. Back to that re-run of Ancient Aliens on H2.
