Son of a bitch.
I was enjoying a great day of college football, stress free because the Wolves didn't play today, and now this. I hope this all turns out to be a misunderstanding but with his track record I'm not optimistic. I can't even feel good about the ND loss now.

So now that Florida has jumped the gun and will be putting the full-court press on potential candidates... does scUM follow suit to land "their guy"? Or maybe they stick to their "save $1mil" plan on the basis that UF isn't looking for a "Michigan man" anyway.

Regardless of where the scUMers think their school ranks as a coaching destination, UF will be working from a different class of candidates.

I don't know who either school is considering, but the usual pool of hot coordinators, midmajor standouts, and maybe some P5 bottom feeders (Kentucky?) would seem to be available to both.
I suppose Mullen could be considered in play for the Gators and highly unlikely for scUM... but that might be the only one that's obvious to me, and I'm not sold that he'll jump ship so easily. More likely just use the attention to get a raise and extension there.
