FWIW I don't think Ohio State will be in the top 4 but they will win the Big Ten championship next year. I think the youth on defense will cost them a game somewhere.

Just my opinion but I think the new OL worries me more than anything. I have all the faith in the world in Warriner and I really think we have the right pieces to be good on the offensive front, but our starting 5 needs to be established sooner rather than later to make sure we gel.

And I completely hear you on defense. The talent is undoubtedly there on the DL and the DBs. I'm not so sure it is there at LB. I think all of our eggs are in the Ash basket to see improvement. I don't think we need to be a top 10 defense nationally to get in the playoffs, but it needs to be in the top half and I think the offense can go from there. Honestly, I think if we simply had a top 40 defense this year we are a NC contender.

My recollection is that Warinner came in and chose his starting 4 and their positions very quickly. Even for the right tackle spot, there were only two contestants. I expect that Warinner has it pretty well figured out already.

Anything less than a week and I am going to come looking for blood.

The big will "get no respect" and miss this coming season. And there will be 2 SEC teams in the 2014 Playoffs.
If we lose even one game we will drop like a rock in the standings. Too much youth.
But, we still could very well win the Big and go Rose Bowling.

Lots of veterans made it easier. I doubt that is his "style".
But maybe I'm wrong?
I think the offense will still be very productive next season.
It's the defense that will take the most work. Cause the most heartburn.
The schedule sets up well for a young, talented team.
The season will come down to how good we are in November.

This is one thing that scares me. That 2 SEC teams will be in it, deservedly or not.

When my friends were talking about the end of the SEC getting favored for the NCG, I just said now they have 4 chances instead of two.

Not meaning they did/didn't deserve these past years but explaining the convo is all. I only have two years where personally I was very pissed off during the BCS.
