2014 NFL Week 1 Open Thread

Watching the G-men makes me feel better about the Browns this year.

How sad is that?
From a pure fantasy standpoint I'd disagree...Eli already has half the points of Romo and it's not even half way through the 2nd quarter.....where as my stupid TWC backbone outage inspired auto pick Ben Tate is out with an injury

I'm not high on Hoyer at all, but I have no problem saying I think Hoyer > Eli at this point. Also, I'd take the clowns RB stable and OL over the Giants. And that team's only a couple years removed from a Super Bowl. Crazy how fast things can go to shit...

Giants are just that terrible as well. I mean, Bad. They might get 3 wins.
This. There was a lot of discussion on the broadcast about Ben McAdoo (new Giants offensive coordinator) implementing the system that was used while he was the quarterbacks coach in Green Bay.

Problem is, I don't think Manning is the type of QB that can fit the Green Bay style of offense. He seems more suited to a big play offense precisely because he's not the most accurate QB around. Going with a dink and dunk offense that is predicated on the receiver making YAC is only great if your QB can throw for a high percentage.

Eli is not that guy, never was and never will be.
