We are in aren't we? Over a very deserving TCU team who probably was playing as well as anyone over the 2nd half of the season. My fear? In the future they won't consider games like MSU as marque wins because they get taken out back by teams like Baylor/Oregon

True, but it would be glorious if Auburn and Alabama lose today. The top 5 teams in the SEC West all lose bowl games. I don't have a problem with that.

I find it interesting to me that the Big 10 had 10 bowl games while the PAC 10 had only 8. Playing your top 8 teams versus top 10 has to be an advantage.

There's also a large advantage in scheduling tie-ins with Mid Majors... otherwise ACC looks like the garbage that they are (2-6 vs. 4-7)
There's a huge, but not unsurprising, disparity between West and East divisions of the B1G too. I joked all year that B1G East is "so tough, we beat up on each other"... but the bowl results do put them on par with the PAC and SEC shills that trot that kind of crap out. B1G West, however ... bad bad bad. If not for Wiscy, they'd be the worst. Thankfully they're stacked with outstanding coaches in the West... like Kill and Ferentz, now joined by such illustrious hires as Chryst and Riley. So surely they'll be getting a lot better very soon.

They play nine conference games. That's going to reduce the number that are bowl eligible.

Minnesota is going to get worked, Auburn/Wisky will be a decent game, UT/IOWA will be such a slap fest with a bunch of three and outs and great punting, and obviously our game is a toss up as well. We will be severely lucky to be 500 after the dust settles as a conference
