Anybody interested in a couple free tickets for tomorrow's practice rounds? I'm not sure I'm going to use them.

I can't make it, but if there's anyone considering, DO IT. It's an awesome way to see the course, get close to the golfers taking shots, and it's really a relaxed/fun environment.

During the Ryder Cup practice I happened to be standing right by Tiger's tee shot. He walked over and shot the shit with everyone standing around, talked about the weather/course, asked everyone if they were enjoying things. Then Phil/Keegan were coming down, screwing with guys while they were setting up etc.

Hell of a fun time.

Shit, maybe I could get some time off...

I thought the post was going to be about this:

Amazing how many "made for TV" Ryder Cup knockoffs they come up with.

It was more of a fight than I expected, but the US wins 18.5-15.5. The international team was very good in individual play, but the deficit was just too much.

The 14th hole for Mickelson-Cabrera was awesome, though.

I do not know why but this competition does not get me excited like the Ryder Cup does.. I do not know maybe it is the weather.
I am with you on this and I think for me it was growing up more with the Ryder Cup and the prestige of it. I think it would be great if they could figure out a way to combine them into one event. I also get the impression that the USA squad is less enthralled with this event.
