I hope 7 TD passes are just an exceptional day for a great QB, not an indication of what all of the rules changes have done to the game. If I want to watch Arena Football, I'll go to an AFL game.

I don't think rules had anything to do with that performance. The Bronco receivers seemed to easily navigate around Raven defenders.

Ratbirds are gonna be bad this year.

If this were a real concern, Flacco wouldn't have needed to chuck the ball 62 (!) times just to throw for 300+ yards. And that says nothing about his putrid 1:1 TD to INT ratio last night.

Eh, that should be no problem for the self-proclaimed best QB in the NFL.
I loved his deep throws. Basically just tossed it up and his receiver didn't have a chance. Guess that's what happens when you can't pay your WRs.

Torrey Smith is going to be completely wasted on that team...any team with a decent QB will just close him down with help and force dumpoffs to Dallas Clark all game.

The rules don't say not to cover dudes. I mean guys were wide open. Peyton wasn't even putting any zip on the ball about half the time...

Actually Torrey Smith did come up with a circus catch through a double team late in the game on their final scoring drive...problem is he can't do it as frequently or as reliably as Bolden, and Flacco will not look his direction most of the time because he is a TE dumper. Ravens are boinked this year.
